The Clackamas County Family History Society (CCFHS) was founded in February of 1988. We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is dedicated to the genealogical research, collection and preservation of family history within Clackamas County and the surrounding areas. We are located in the Wilmer Gardner Research library on the 1st floor of the Museum of the Oregon Territory in Oregon City, Oregon.

Whether you’re an experienced researcher or just getting started on your family research journey, we have thousands of books, photographs and publications, in addition to online resources and a dedicated volunteer staff that is all available to help you learn the history of your family’s past.

The Wilmer Gardner Research Library and the CCFHS collections are available to view each Wednesday and the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month from 11:00-4:00(PST), unless otherwise noted. If you’re unable to come visit us in person but would like to learn more about your family’s past, submit a Research Request here and let us know how we can help.
